Teamwork Skills Report
The main aspects required in teamwork is: reliability, communication, listening skills, participation, cooperation, commitment, respect, support and inclusive. A major assignment which required me to use my teamwork skills was my grade 9 Dance summative. There were many components to this assignment such as: presentation of a musical which required a lot of research and the creation of a musical with a modern aspect. At first, I didn't know what group members to choose because I wanted people who will put in a lot of effort and try their best. By the end I was very happy with my group members. During the entire process I learned a lot about myself. As we started the assignment I was unable to share my ideas with the other group members since I was very shy; I didn't want them to think my idea was bad. Later, I realized that it does matter what others think, it is important for you to express your thoughts and feelings. In the end, you tried your best instead of letting others do all the work. I learned that is is important to be reliable. I finished all the tasks assigned to me on time. Even though I had other things to do I made sure that I completed my part of the project so I don't let my group members down. During the process I also learned a lot about my group members. For example I learned that one of my group members doesn't put in 100 percent effort, but on the other and the other two group members were very serious about the assignment. Three out of four group members including me, were dedicated and tried our best. Overall, we all were positive and shared ideas with one another. Our great communication skills allowed us to enhance our teamwork skills because it enabled us to understand each other better. Since we all were able to understand each other, it made it easier to combine all ideas for the final product.
